Newton Open Studios is run by artists and volunteers, and is a nonprofit project of Newton’s Mayor’s Office for Cultural Affairs. It is funded entirely by artist fees and donations. By becoming a sponsor of Newton Open Studios, you'll show your support for this important Newton cultural event. NOS brings thousands of people to Newton each year. It invigorates the local economy while raising community awareness of Newton art and artists. Your contribution is particularly important because public-sector support for the arts has diminished. All contributions go toward event publicity and production expenses, such as advertising and printing.
Newton Open Studios is financially independent, though it is a project of the Mayor's Office for Cultural Affairs. Participating artists contribute the bulk of funding to NOS through registration fees.
